The human spirit is a strong mechanism that can endure many hardships; however, the fragility of human life is eminent. The harsh realities of life can wear the human spirit down. Nature can be our friend but can also be our foe. Those unfortunate individuals who are homeless or who live in poor living conditions can relate to the brutality of nature. They are often poverty stricken and are in dire need of a helping hand. Habitat for Humanity is the answer to their prayers.
Habitat for Humanity builds affordable living establishments in safe neighborhoods for those in need. Those unfortunate individuals who live in poor living conditions and unsafe neighborhoods can look to this organization for help. It exists to serve those in need. This tireless organization is religiously based. Because there are so many privileged individuals in this world, we should seek those who are less fortunate and lend a helping hand. This organization exists throughout the United States, and because of a lovely El Pasoen couple, it now stems to our city as well. This agency’s central concern is the family and the well being of others. Habitat for humanity is made up of volunteers who seek to fulfill this calling. There are no hired hands; this agency depends on and is made up of volunteer workers, sponsorship, and donations.
Many local churches and businesses, such as Lowes and Home Depot, constantly advertise and help out this organization. The different genres Habitat for Humanity utilizes to reach out to the community are posters, brochures, commercials broadcasting on religious/Christian channels, and websites. Other information concerning this organization is spread by word of mouth in local churches and businesses. The posters, brochures, their website, and their commercials all have earthy colors that bring to mind the elements of nature and earth; those are the two elements Habitat for Humanity works in harmony with to build eco-friendly, affordable homes. The webmaster purposefully made their website simple and easy to mange because this specific organization has simple and to the point goals as well. We must lend a helping hand to those in need. Although this agency relies heavily on volunteer work, there is still a need for coordinators, directors, presidents, a secretary, and a treasurer. Thanks to these individuals, events are planned and carried out; decisions are made about what plan of action to take or what layout to use for posters, brochures, or even a website. All involved play a central role.
Domestic violence and homelessness are two fast growing problems in the world today that Habitat for Humanity wishes to slowly alleviate. Children are growing up in broken homes and are being exposed to violence at a very young age. No child should endure that type of hostile environment; the value of family unity should be ever present in the homes of all individuals around the world. Habitat for Humanity aims to build enough affordable homes in safe neighborhoods in order to fulfill this goal. By advertising their agency in posters and brochures and broadcasting commercials, it hopes to create awareness.
Homelessness is not a problem that will go away overnight; however, with the help of the community we can take baby steps to make it happen. Habitat for Humanity aims to help those in need. With the help of dedicated and selfless volunteers, these goals can be made a reality. Do not let those who are poverty stricken roam helplessly in the dark.
